A new face at BEG's Ambleside office
Hello BEG member, clients and associates,I’m Abby Colombi and I’m delighted to have joined the Brathay Exploration Group as the new administrator. It’s exciting to be part of an organisation with a wonderful ethos that combines the environment, nature, exploration and fun! I look forward to us working together in all that BEG offers.
Best wishes,
Abby You can usually find me in the office on Tuesday and Thursdays, 10am - 3pm NB - Ooccasionally, due to meetings and other off-site occurrences, the office may be briefly closed during these times. Telephone messages and emails are checked regularly and we always endeavour to get back to you as soon as we can.
A long walk! A trustee of Brathay Exploration Group has just started on a totally new type of challenge - Tony Jacklin is walking over 1000 miles from Land’s End to John O Groats to raise money for Yorkshire charity, the Forget-Me-Not Trust.
Tony participated as both a member and a leader in a number of BEG expeditions, including the Tour de Mont Blanc and Corsica’s GR20. He was elected to the BEG Board in 2006.
The aim of the Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust is to raise funds to build and run a respite hospice for children with life limiting conditions. The Trust needs to raise over £3million to build a house for respite, emergency and end of life care. It will provide services 365 days a year, completely free of charge, to children and their families from Yorkshire. Tony aims to raise in excess of £2000 in support. To sponsor Tony you can visit his Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/Tony-Jacklin. Details of Tony’s itinerary can be seen here. ****************************************************************************************************************
